Student / Early Career Professionals Events

CMOS is putting together a series of workshops and events specifically designed to support networking and professional development among CMOS members that are students and/or early career professionals. A few are listed below, but be sure to check back often as more details, and more events, will be added soon.

These events will require a separate registration (free). The registration link will be sent to CMOS registered delegates.


CV Writing Workshop

Your CV or resume should be as amazing as you are. Join your peers for this hands on workshop that will help you refine your CV, and stand out to prospective employers and supervisors.


Job Fair & Networking Event
Thursday, June 1 | 11:30 – 14:00

We are bringing together a diverse set of employers and professionals to help grow your network and develop leads that will be helpful in your career. Lunch will be provided for all students and Early Career Professionals who register to attend this event.


CMOS Congress Bingo

This is a self-run activity to experience the best of St. John’s AND the Congress. Download the Actionbound app and then hit the town to snap selfies at iconic locations in St. John’s as well as at CMOS events. Complete and submit all tasks to be entered to win a great prize.


Poster Contest

Put your science on display as part of the CMOS poster session and contest. Posters are a great way to gain visibility for your research, and to facilitate networking with like-minded scientists and researchers.
